Thanks Pere, go ahead and rub it in. The original Moto Z series will never see Android P.

I have a new splash screen for Oreo. I just checked it. Hopefully it'll be coming soon.

Well it's a different splash screen. Progress? Hmm...

Probably not. If they changed the check for updates message, that must be a good sign that it's really close now. Or they are just teasing us.....let's hope it's the former.

If reports on the Moto Forum are true (and I don't see any reason why they are not...just using some caution) the Oreo started rolling out to the Moto Z Play today. Maybe not all countries at once, doesn't appear to be available in the US. Either way, it's a good sign and hopefully means the Moto Z and Moto Z Force will be updated soon. . Has any other manufacturer updated a 2016 phone to Oreo? I don't think so....good job Moto.

I'm not sure when the message started for the Z Play Droid, TXDoc but I noticed it this morning on ours. If it's anything like the Z Force Droid it will me a little more than a "few" weeks. But I guess it's still a good sign.

My wife's Z Play Droid is now the family spare and I keep it in airplane mode, connected to WiFi. I turn it on once in a while to keep core apps updated, so if anyone needs it, I just pop in their sim and setup their Google account.

Should be here "soon" for the Z Play Droid.
