so i got fission on, but now i dont have backup assistant, id like all my contacts back :/

Make a backup of your current setup, then restore your backup make immediately prior to installing Fission, reboot, back up your contacts with Google in the privacy settings, restore the backup you made right before restoring the last backup, then reboot and see if you can get them back by resycing your contacts with Google.
