Lost Contacts with new update

My Android Pro had a software update last nite. After updating all of my phone numbers that are not on facebook (home numbers, people not on facebook, people who don't post number on facebook) are gone. I thought I had synced my numbers with the backup assistant but cannot find them. Any suggestions??

I updated my phone on 24 October 2011 and I have also lost most of my contacts. I have corporate sync setup and it all worked before, but now I am not syncing and have lost most of my contacts. However, no error messages. I am getting my Exchange e-mail from my server, but no contacts. Also, when trying to wake up my phone to answer a call, the phone appears to reboot.
