Google Android "L" was announced at Google I/O yesterday! While it won't be available to the masses until later this year it is already available to developers for the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7! You can actually install it now. You will need to have the SDK installed on your PC or Mac, or atleast you will need the latest adb and fastboot files. The Nexus device should have an unlocked bootloader.

-Download The Android L System Image Nexus 5 or Nexus 7
-Unzip the image file to the folder that contains the adb and fastboot files
-In command prompt navigate to the folder containing the system image
-type the command "adb flash-all.bat"

The files will be pushed to the nexus which will reboot to the Android update screen. The update may take up to 30 minutes to flash. DO NOT unplug your device. Be sure that the battery is fully charged before beginning the process.
