For people that have an I home handy. Go rest your droid x on one of the sides where the volume or seek button is and tell me what happens. 1 hoe dies it know? 2 is there any functionality to this?

No worries nubby. Im just really confused about this. Does it recognize the magnet in the speaker? Although I've tried on a regular speaker and it didn't do anything.

It is the magnet. Your other speakers may be shielded to avoid damage to t.v
