Yesterday, I had regular eris. I plugged it in my PC and it saw it and kindly offered if I plugged it in another port it might run faster. I ignored it. I could set my phone to be seen as a storage device. This allowed me to put files on the sd card. So i put the froyo rom on there and installed froyo on my phone. runs faster. but now I cannot get my pc to recognize my phone. It will charge, but will not see it at all. I am using the same cord I used yesterday. My usb ports are working fine. I have searched to find a solution and cannot find anything.

Please, if anyone can help me out with this I would be grateful.

On your PC, download and install PDAnet from here:
Download PdaNet

It will install all the drivers you need for the Eris. You can uninstall the program ONLY, after you confirm that it connects. Don't uninstall the drivers though!
