I've owned my droid since december and havent really gotten into it yet...
How do I awake from sleep without sliding screen? How do I put into screen lock faster as to waiting for it to go to sleep?

You should be able to hold the top button to wake it up quickly and to turn it off quickly....:motdroidvert:

No, the button on the top right hand part of the DROID. Not the volume button on the side, this button is on the top. It's the on/off button (if you long hold on it) but when you just click it once it puts the screen to sleep and also wakes it back up too. Hope this helps.
