I have advanced task killer running on my Droid 2, but seems that there should be a way to more efficiently manage applications than to have to kill them off randomly.

Any recos from the forum on how to do this effectively?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes,
1) uninstall task manager/killer.
2) don't worry about it, the OS handles it for you
3) don't use task killers, don't be OCD about your phone
4) this isn't Blackberry OS or WinMobile OS, Android is designed to fill your free memory with apps in the possible chance you will use one making access to it faster. Holding the app in memory doesn't use any more resources than holding nothing in memory.

Android is much smarter than you are as far as handling its memory goes, let it do its thing yo.

Do not worry about that like the others said. I had a windows phone and it was a pain because it kept freezing due to the lack memory and I needed to kill the program almost every min. I am using a Droid X and the OS is great. Best phone and OS ever. dancedroid

Thanks all. Wasn't really being OCD about it, just interested in feedback.
