How do I sync an non gmail email to my phone

I click the email icon, put in the email and password, then it asks me what type of account it is and I have no idea


it's an email address provided by more local cable modem company

Most of your cable provider emails are Pop3 accounts. You should be able to call your cable company and go to their technical support and ask. I know that my person email through a cable company was a Pop3 and once I put that in, I had no problems connecting the email with my phone.

when it says "connecting to server" how long does it usually take?


for me it was over 5 min and it still was on that screen
