How do I revert back to stock OS?

U have nothing to worry about Verizon can't tell I you forced the update or got it over the air. And since you haven't rooted your phone no warrenties have been voided

Ok what does rooted mean anyhow....I am sure i am testing everyones patience being a newb asking a bunch of annoying questions. Did anyone here get an ota update to 2.1 so you can tell me what your phone systems says.

I just returned to stock OS my self from cyanogen 5.0.4 its pretty easy I forgot the link for where i got instructions from but I googled it.
