I've got the OMAP source on my Ubuntu box but I have no clue how to set up the .config file for make.

I've seen the other thread here on the forum about how to compile the kernel and he posts his config, and that's great but I would like to actually understand what all of the options are.

More specifically I would like to understand what the bare minimum requirements are for getting this kernel to boot on my DROID.

Is there documentation out there for the kernel booting on the Arm Cortex A8 processor?

I'm a professional developer but I'm a total noob when it comes to embedded systems so I could use some help

    Thanks

I found a copy of the OMAP 34xx TRM but I'm not sure if that will help me in configuring the kernel to boot the SoC.
