The only thing i can think of is to reset the phone... you might lose some info but i know how annoying these pop ups can be. Another solution is to try a different app like Handcent
or Chomp and just disable notifications completely on the stock app.

I always use Handcent cause its very customizable and i just disable the stock app completely so no notifications of any kind.

You would lose ALL information besides the OS, but google backs up some settings and contacts which would be restored when siging into your google account.. Kinda silly to factory reset for such a minute issue..

Next time you get a "Message not sent", long press on the message text, click edit and then resend.

Is the message actually not sending, or does it send but pop up and say it didn't?

Delete data and cache through "manage applications" first before resetting your phone.

Sounds like a weird loop you are in... i think factory reset is the way to go... your google account would restore your contacts and email but you will loose your call log and text. There may be an app that can back up those for you.

I'm just not sure if it will back up that annoying pop up as well so i would try to avoid it :)

I'm having a problem with my droidforum app. Did you see my post earlier about erasing data/cache instead of resetting your phone?

Your post is on here... to reset the phone or to wipe data/cache to my understanding is almost the same...

Thanks. Wipe data/cache can be done for the whole phone like when flashing a new ROM, or it can be done on an app by app basis. Doing just the app does not wipe the whole phone, and will clear out any faulty messages. I've had to do it with the messaging app myself. If you would like directions for this I can post it.
