Hmmm...Hangouts doesn't seem to notify me right away that there's a new message either. Anyone have any advice, or is it always rather slow to notify?

Instant email notification after someone calls for me.
email? Pretty sure I turned that off years ago. Used to use the GV app, now Hangouts. Don't remember it taking this long to notify me, but also wondering if it's because I'm logged in to gmail on my PC...

How do you get notifications? I get an email and hangouts tells me I have a vm.

I get notifications from Hangouts. I turned off the email notifications because it was redundant and I didn't care for it.
Well how do you know if it's working then? :)

I only give out my GV # to the crazies I meet at bars. Those chicks will blow a phone UP!

Is that why you never answer...

Hey, the "crazies" are the best! in.. ummm, certain "situations". As long as you don't let them know where you live or work. Bwahahaha!

I called from my office phone twice & left voicemails. The first one, I opened hangouts to make sure it was set to notify me properly & the message was there. The second one, I waited until the phone notified me. Took a minute or so. Don't remember it being that laggy.

I think it's a PEBKAC issue.
