Gmail issue

I can receive emails perfectly but when I try to send one it sticks at "sending..." and never actually sends it. Liberty 1.5.

settings>apps>all apps>gmail>clear data/cache.
If you're using another e-mail and you have gmail linked to it, it could be your pop3/imap settings.
