I would also like to know how to permanantly delete mail from the gmail app.

It's very annoying, I have to log into gmail from the web browser and delete messages from my inbox manually. Otherwise, my gmail app says I have messages, but won't access them after I delete them from the app.

Go into manage applications find gmail and hit clear data it'll fix it...this happens to me after reflashing at times and this always fixes it for me right away

I cleared my data just like the post above mentions, it worked temporarily...now it's back with the same issues
