I flashed the 904 leaked update but want to return to 902, mainly because of what 904 did to my battery life. There are numerous links to one click methods to do this, but they all seem to be broken links. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Is there really a battery issue on 904? I'm running 904 and with the extended moto battery I'm getting over a full day. Granted, I've not done much by way of testing but I just don't see a difference.

I am running the extended battery also. On 904 I could get a full day of use, but my battery would be down to 10 percent. When running 902 I would get the same amount of use and only be down to about 50 percent, do I definitely had an issue with 904 battery life. By being back on 902 my battery life is back to normal.

I had posted a similar thread this week. On 904 my battery life sucked too. Back on 902 and everything is groovy again.

Just flashed 904 this afternoon, first thing I did once booted up was battery calibration. Will report on battery life after a charge and usage. Side note it seems a little more snappy then 902 in terms of opening apparently and switching tasks.

Quick question... How do you perform a battery calibration?

According to FoxKat,

I would charge to 100% (with power off), then use to 15%, and then charge to 100% again (with power off). You'll be good to go from there for the next 3 months or so, then repeat.

This would be for an unrooted phone.

Sounds good. Thanks for the info. I am unrooted, so, should work for me.

I use the battery calibration app. I believe it is in the play store. But does require root. On standard battery I have got about 18 hours, moderate usage, 3g only and 3 hours of that was searching for signal while wetting some lines. Overall for me about the same as 902. Will try the moto extended soon.

Well I went back to 902 and after today's observations I believe it has much better battery life than 904.

They updated the kernel again in the .904 update an they botched the battery life with the new kernel they should have left it alone so with the problems that are present I highly doubt the .904 will be official

According to this screenshot, the OTA update is supposed to be rolling out tomorrow. Maybe it'll get delayed so they can make changes.
