Whoops. Might want to make that a bit more difficult.

I knew this was more of a novelty and marketing feature than anything.

Well, they could update the software so that it doesn't unlock until the eyes blink or something. But really, what I like about this is that my phone will unlock when I pick it up and look at it.

Tuff,im still buyin it plan on not losein it-next!!!

It is still safe against random strangers taking your phone unless they happen to have a picture of you for some strange reason.

Good to know though as it won't work against the clever wife or the girlfriend.

if some stranger has a picture of me on their phone, I think I have bigger issues than someone stealing my phone and going through it.

Visidon App Lock has been doing this for awhile on Gingerbread phones - and can do it for individual apps as well. Works great most of the time, but sometimes it, too, is a little too lenient - though you can change how "strict" it is.

Just FYI...

I find it annoying to have to swipe to unlock every time I want to use my phone. I agree, I likes it too!

You can get a subdermal implant with one of those NFC chips and when you pick up the phone it knows it's in your hand .

My work e-mail requires a password/PIN be used to lock the phone. None of the apps that are supposed to remove this requirement have worked so I just don't have my work e-mail on my phone. I HATE having to put in a PIN every stupid time I look at my phone.

Hopefully this will satisfy my work's e-mail security requirement and I can have it again. Other than that I don't give a damn if you can take a pic of my backside from a mile away and unlock my phone.

I use an app called No-Lock...

I dispose with the need completely. There is nothing on my phone worth getting.

Yeah I try not to keep anything really personal on my phone, so unless someone wants to read a text from my father asking if I can come over and help him rake leaves, someone is going to be sorely disappointed.
