Email problem: Email body doesn't match header

I'm having a strange email problem with my Droid. Using the standard email application linked to a couple different Pop3 accounts. I will sometimes get an email where the sender address/subject line etc. are obviously from a different email than the actual body of the email. Seems that the phone is having trouble associating the right email message with the right header.

Even stranger, on at least some occasions, if I forward the email I get see the correct email body.

Any ideas what's going on here?

I'm seeing the same problem with one of my colleagues' Droid. He is getting emails in which the headers and body are from two different emails.

Some emails come in fine, with properly correlated headers and bodies. But, predominantly, they come in with mismatched headers and bodies.

I just deleted the account, recreated it and it seemed to have fixed things for now, but I believe this was done previously and it recurred some time later.
