Droid X2 stuck on exclamation screen

I looked around the forums and found rrelated topics for other devices so I'm not sure if they apply to the X2. I installed bootstrap recovery, now everytime I reboot from recovery, I get stuck on the exclamation screen. Then I have to reboot into fastboot and go into android recovery, then reboot from there and my phone reboots fine from there. This never happened until I deleted my dalvik cache and battery cane. Is this normal? Or should it reboot fine from the system recovery without me having to go through the fastboot option? Any help with this would be great. Please and thank you
