does anyone know how i can tether my droid

    i have the original droid 1 and i'm trying to figure out how i can tether my droid by using it as an internet device for my laptop without rooting it, any apps or anyway i can do it? thanks!

    Mobile hotspot from Verizon. It will cost an additional $20-30/month. Only way without rooting. I must say though, I'm a fan of the duct tape answer.

    PdaNet is one app you can search for. Barnacle is another though you might ned root for that one, I forget. Pdanet is not a wifi tether, it is a cabled solution.

    the op has 2 options

    1.- if NOT rooted then you have to pay for it (either verizon or apps in the market)

    2.- if rooted then look for any wifi/usb tether apps in the market

    Easytether and PDA Net don't require root but use a USB cable. Wifi tether requires root.
