display and encryption query

Thanks for doing this Viper.

Two questions...

1) Is there a way (app) to turn the display back on without pressing the button on the top right. Isn't that going to wear out as its mechanical ?

2) Is there an encryption program for the data etc. in case of loss.

The button on the top of the phone is the only way to turn it on.

You can get Defense Shield or Wave Secure to lock and or wipe your device if lost.

I searched the marketplace for Defense Shield, also Defence Shield, but nothing came back. Wave Secure has lot's of complaints against it.

Is anyone bothering with insurance ?

Yeah man I mean the majority I think have insurance....that wasn't even an option for me, too nice of technology to just lose over something stupid like being clumsy or something, no way...

Don't know bout your second question but yeah that top button is the only way to turn off the screen and turn off the phone....I've got into the habit of pressing it every time I'm done using the phone so as not to waste battery
