Decline update always?

droid freaking out

I just purchased the htc two weeks ago. Everything was going fine until this last update and now my phone freaks out when I turn it on. The voice search starts flickering on and off. Also, the buttons are buzzing. I returned it for a new one, but after I got all my apps reloaded it started again. I uninstalled all my apps, but not sure that fixed it. Is there a way to go back to a previous version? I love the htc, but this sucks.

droid freaking out

Well, I took my droid back to verizon and they reset my settings to default. Evidently uninstalling the Apps doesn't fix problems that they can cause. I am reinstalling my Apps to figure out which is the problem.
