Hello,

Just upgraded from an OG Droid.

Something went awry with my contacts -- there are a lot of duplicates. And, oddly enough, there are more duplicates when I view them via the 'phone' screen vs. the 'contacts' screen.

What gives?

I had duplicates because the guy at the store set my phone to sync contacts, which I prefer not to do.
Then I imported my contacts from storage.
You can download contact remover and fix it manually or have it remove them all then restore your contacts using your preferred method.

Same thing happened to me. My contacts are backed up with gmail so I logged on to my gmail account to discover that somehow my contacts there are were duplicated several times as well. In the settings there is a way to merge duplicates. I did that, then went on to my phone and cleared the app data and just let everything redownload and things were fixed! Give'r a try.
