Okay I'm tired of letting this issue go. When I get a text from a new number and I want to add them to my contacts, I tap the phone number, tap add to contacts, and voila. Well low and behold the knowsall android automatically adds that number to another existing contact with the same name... so now I don't know which Katelyn is which or which Lauren is which without embarrassingly asking "which one are you? ". HOW on earth do I turn this feature off?

I forgot to add that after I tap add to contacts in type their name in. As long as I have a certain discussion in txt I can refer to, I am able to figure out who is who, and later add a contact pic or nickname. But for just adding them initially so I can carry on with whatever I was doing or continuing their discussion, isn't there any way to have two Nicoles or two Laurens with the same name and separate numbers?
