Constantly dropping data

Over the past couple weeks i have been having major problems with dropping data. Its completely dropping it. Its not even trying to go down to 3G or 1X. I went up to the Verizon store saturday and got a new sim card, but that didnt fix it. They sent me out a refurb phone. Got it tuesday, but its doing the same thing. It doesnt do it all day long, it comes and goes. But when it does it, it drops, comes back on several times in a row. It seems like it corrects itself if I restart the phone. I sort of had this happen before on my Tbolt, but it would drop to 3G then down to 1X. It never just completely dropped it. Verizon cant figure it out. Any ideas?

There are quite a few threads about this, don't fret. A lot of people are having the same problem since the last update, we are hoping ICS will come in the next month or so and maybe help the issue. If you have not sent back your original phone I would keep it and send back the refurb, unless it is nicer than yours.
