Phandroid is reporting that starting this Friday, Verizon is doing a buy one get one free on a new line, and it's available if you purchased before the offer at Verizon corp stores.

I called two stores and got no information about this report or this supposed ota update coming next week. Either phandroid is completely wrong or us usual verizon store managers are retarded.

The get one free options are the LG Glance or the LG VX5500, according to the Verizon website. But I suppose that could be set to change on Friday.

I would be... took advantage of this when BB had BOGO. The BOGO started like 3 weeks after I bought my phone and added the second line... it took some hassle with VZW but I did get the second one FREE. GOOD LUCK!

I'm not sure what you mean by "cheapens the value of the phone". Are you hoping it'll appreciate?

I guess I could be pissed that someone may pay a few bucks less than I did but as far as I'm concerned, more Droids=more apps & support=more attention from VZW. All good things.

If I cared so much I could easily return my phone and go through another retailer such as Dell or whatever. How are people going to know. Lol this statement makes no sense. It doesn't cheapen any perception. Its called the holidays everyone has deals. I work for verizon and this is the first I have ever heard of perception of value. Its all good thats your opinion and thats fine, but in my opinion its a great buy and a way for someone less fortunate to have a new awesome device. iPhone dropped in price but I don't think it cheapened the perception of the phone its still the same phone just able to offer it at a less price.
