BT Smarttalk permissions

As a BT broadband customer it appears that I can use the BT Smarttalk app to reduce the cost of calls to premium rate numbers. However I am very concerned with the permissions that this app takes. Any views ?

While I'm not familiar with that specific app I do see plenty of people concerned with the permissions some apps need. There is typically a good explanation for some or all of them and if the app is from a trusted source I wouldn't worry about it. I looked at the permissions for Vonage and saw the same strange permissions but it doesn't bother me.
