I was kinda reading around on the internet and seen that the RAZR does come with an option for having the Bootloader unlocked. However, Big Red chose not to go this route. Supposedly for security reasons. I am not a developer by any means, but I do wonder is how does the Verizon RAZR know its a Verizon RAZR and the bootloader is to be locked. Could it be possible the key to unlocking it is in the bloatware they install or even on the SIM card or both. I love the android phones coming from the OG Droid to the T-bolt, now back on board with MOTO with the RAZR and have Rooted them all. I am just uneasy about putting the custom Roms and Themes on it without it being a huge risk.

The bootloader is not unlockable, but CWM on boot has been achieved. We already have fastboot files for use with RSD Lite, so it's not a HUGE risk to do anything. Just make sure you make backups from clockwork so you can restore your old stuff if you have to fastboot,
