Now that Motorola has released the Source code to the Bionic, it's only a matter of time for 2 things:
1) One of our awesome devs is going to figure out how to overclock the beast
2) The Android update has to be coming out pretty soon (which opens up a bunch of questions in itself)

Kernel source doesn't really help when when the bootloader is locked. Only reason they released it is because they are required to because of the open source licensing agreement. Devs could make custom kernels but we would have no way to install them.

Wouldn't a 2init process work like on the dx/d2/d2g?
