I thought that the HELIX2 is for NEXUS 1 users only. Your talking about the donated version, right?
The update is for non rooted as well?

Well I just tried it on my Droid and it works great. BUT my Droid is running CyanogenMod 5.0.6.1 so that may be why it works. You could always give it a try. Worst case, you will get force closes. Just click "Close" and hit your Home button asap to change back to Helix1 or normal Home. No harm done.
