Is there a way to get this put on my homescreen so I know how much I have left?

In the market there's a bunch of different battery widgets you can download, just search for battery widget or Battstat.

Keep in mind that the D2 only reports increments of 10 down to 20%, and then (I believe) increments of 5 after that.

I use Battery Indicator Pro.

No battery app on a D2 or D2G will report battery life in 5% increments because that's not a limitation of the App, but the framework of the phone itself. It reads in 10% increments from 100% to 20%, and 5% increments from there.

Since the latest update you can have a battery meter instead of weather on your beautiful widgets clock. Its really good if you already paid for the clocks in the first place.
