I just wanted to let everyone know what worked for me, since I searched and searched for a solution and never found a solid answer.
I just got my samsung fascinate i500.4 is the hw version. Of course I rooted on the second day and did the voodoo kernel/lag fix. Every thing was flying and working great, until I went to charge it before bed! No matter what, I would get battery not connected, tried taking the battery out and leaving it out..etc. nothing.
So I did the disable_lagfix file on the sd /data/ and I thought that worked...but it didnt. So lastly, I deleted that file, rebooted, let it load the lag fix again. Then flashed with dirk OC lv1200. rebooted and everything has been great since!!!
Here are the results...they were faster without screenshot app running.(1880)
So in order
1. If you are using voodoo kernel with lagfix leave it alone
2. Download Dirk OC lv1200 kernel
3. Set CPU min 100 max 1200
4. Plug it in see if it charges..if not load another dirk kernel
4. Run quadrant to see your speed
