So my alarm didn't go off this morning. What? What! That never happens. So I grab my phone and jump out of bed...it's then I realize it wasn't on the charger. I check...hmmm still 40%? How is that possible? I go to work.
Home now and I check my battery life. This can't be right? Yes, of course it looks like this because it was barely doing anything over night, but come on. I've never in my life seen numbers like this. Just...wow.

That's better than what I'm getting on my g6

I've been trying to figure it out, I've barely used my phone today and it's at 45%

I have to keep wifi on or I have no connection, and I usually turn bt off when at home...

Maybe it's the bt or wifi on your phone?

That's nowhere near normal for me. It's totally skewed because it was dozing all night on my night stand. Normally get close to 5 hours SOT. But I easily make it almost an entire day every day. Usually just need a boost before bed to catch up on the news. Surprised your G6 is so poor. Seriously considered that phone.

I am pretty sure I'm an outlier, I have horrible reception at home and bluetooth and wifi are anyways on, bt for my headset and wifi so I can get a data connection...

Still it feels like I never have battery

bet you are not streaming movies :) seriously, 22 to 24 hours is not bad at all. one of these days I will test my phone and see how long it will last with normal usage. though it is not a moto, it has never been off the charger longer than 12 hours straight.

I have been doing all these Tapatalk post doing gooingle searches watching my fiends anymojis texting and email syncing Outlook Gmail Yahoo and aol. No movie watching though. Phone doing great 1st phone I have had that so far has not gotten hot under any circumstances seems almost too good to be true. I have yet to see how it holds up in a bad coverage area when phones straining and see what happens to mine.

Sounds like Moto hit a home run with the Z2 Force (and Z2 Play), and all those skeptics nagging on the smaller battery were wrong. Imagine that.

a lot of skeptics were basing their opinions on past usage so you gotta give them a break.

I kept my x2 on screen for almost an HR straight and it finally is slightly warm. I hope this performance last this well for long time unlike previous phones which seem to degrade quickly...

I don't have to give them a break and I will not. I am tired of judging phones based on specs on a sheet of paper. The user experience is more important than paper specs, and the critics were wrong about this phone.

Sajo,

Are you implying that manufacturers might have known something about the 835 chips that the critics didn't when they designed their phones and spec'd the batteries?

Yep. Those sneaky phone engineers & developers. Who'd have thought they knew what they were doing?

Yeah to me the z2 force/play is so far the best phone for the money. It's built tough, have solid battery life, and you can snag one with mods and still have money left over for what it would cost for one of the other high end flagships such as the pixel 2 xl, iPhone X, or Note 8.
