The Application forum is there, it has just moved down a bit to a new Droid Apps section along with the Games forum.

Yup. Scroll down. I don't recall exactly when it was moved but I did notice that traffic there tapered off right away. I guess many others didn't notice it was in a diffeent section.

I incorrectly assumed both apps and games were gone when I looked for them this morning

I bet a lot of people will miss it. My bookmark for this site is set at the "Droid Discussions" level. That used to leave me a choice of topics including general discussions, apps, and games. If I had not read this thread, I would not have thought to go up the tree to find the new location for those sub-forums.

People are just used to it being higher, I don't think it will take long for people to realize it's down below. If it had been there from day one probably wouldn't have been an issue
