Hello all. Like most of you, I have been upgraded to GB 2.3.3. I am rooted. Today I tried to copy a sound file into the system/media/notifications folder... however, I was rudely informed that I don't have access. I tried changing the permissions, but that was locked out as well. Any suggestions?

BTW, I am about to install CM7 this weekend.

    Thanks for your help!

By default /system is mounted read only. You need to remount in read/write mode before you can modify it. Root explorer for example makes this whole process extremely easy
