2.3.5 vs. 2.3.6

I have a droid x2 that is running 2.3.5..that's all I know because that's all the phone info says. I was playing around with two of my friends phones and one of them was running 2.3.4 and the other has 2.3.6. what is the major differences in the three of these? What is gingerbread and ice cream sandwich and froyo? The more I read on here the more confused I get.

2.3.5 is lastest/last for DX2 (MB870)
not much difference from 2.3.4 to 2.3.6
