Z4root not working

Alright well I have z4root on my x on 2.2.1 and it just sits on the screen saying using exploit for root... any tips from someone on what to do?

Try Full reboot be sure third part app is checked in app setting and also debugging.

Also try turning on airplane mode on too. That's what works for me.

Same thing happened to me, I just rebooted and it worked. The program does work, so just keep trying.

After you reboot, just let it sit there. It rooted my phone in about 5 minutes, but my friends phone took much longer. He just let it sit there.

It shouldn't take 5 min to work, if your still sitting there after 5 min, just turn off the phone and try again. If I recall it only takes about a min to do its thing.

ummmmm totally not working.... friends DX... tried like 10 times.... just helping a buddy out (i have rooted 4 Android phones now.... looking like a jackhole is cool haha

tried normal "running exploit in order to obtain root access" never goes away...

tried airplane running exploit in order to obtain root access" never goes away...

tried to rooboot and start over (5/6 times after waiting over 5 min each

2.2.1 new phone about 2 weeks old



what are the most current motorola drivers? 4.6? what mode is the X usb supposed to be in? charge? storage? media sync or PC mode.... im in airplane mode.... tried most of these things and its not working

Try GingerBreaker worked all the time for me.

You have to enable USB Debugging in Settings->Applications->Development. Otherwise z4 just sits there.

Yep. Z4Root works great, takes 30 seconds on my DX (and I have done it several times, never more than 45 seconds to complete). As mentioned GingerBreak can also be used.
