Okay so I was originally running z4root on my phone but then I decided that I wanted the gingerbread update. Then I decided I should probably unroot and delete z4root- compeletely forgetting that I had installed metamorph and, like, 3 metamorph themes.

Now it gets a bit more complicated; I then decided (since I had been considering a factory reset for a few weeks) to completely reset my phone - thus getting rid of all apps, i.e. metamorph. THEN my phone told me that I needed to activate-what? so i went ahead and did it. Once I called the activation number, they gave me the lame music and told me the programming was successful....then nothing. No calls, 3G, nadie. I have tried the activation process about 7 times since this craziness happened. and now here i am.

did I mention I also forgot to wipe my sd card before the reset? oops. :((((

and of course, no one wants to help :(

also, when i checked my phone settings, it listed my number as 000-000-3319?

no worries. Just follow the links in my sig to SBF and try again. Just click on the DX part. You are going to be fine.

Thanks for replying. My dad just left to work with my phone (hopefully he doesn't take it to vw) but i'll try it when he gets home.

Will this fix the service problem im having? (the whole 000-000-3319 thing and not hacing 3g or being able to make calls).

You may have to manually program your phone if sbf doesn't fix your service problem. I have done it many times with my old xv6900, but have no idea how to do it with android. Sure it can be done though.

The SBF should....SHOULD fix it all. It brings your phone back to the exact same way it was when you first pulled it out of the box.

Just did a little tinkering. Think I found how you can manually program. Open your dialer, type ##program enter 000000 when prompted for a passcode. Touch the Extended NAM button, enter your phone number in the MIN and MDN fields (no -). Enter 12 for CDMA System ID. 310 for Country Code. 65535 for CDMA Network. 1st Channel A= 283, Channel B= 384. 2nd Channel A=691, Channel B= 777. Emergency 1= 911, Emergency2= *911, Emergency3= #911. Access overload class=9. Click back button, touch SID/NID. Enter 12 for SID, and 65535 for NID. Then I believe you have to just hit the back button till you get out of the program window. May also have to reboot, then try and program using *228. Good luck and please post your results if you try this.

I have had the same problem with my og droid and had to manually program it. Dial ##7764726, select user activation and enter your info. You will need your min along with your sid and phone number (mdn), but support should have no problems giving you that info. Just tell them you are trying to manually activate because *228 is not working

Never mind. Joe beat me to it with alot more info
