Yahoo messenger notifications?

Is there some way to keep yahoo messenger from putting notifications in my notifications on my DROID? I don't want to sign out but I don't want to see the notifications either. Help?

I don't think there is a way to disable message notifications from Yahoo Messenger from appearing in your Notifications bar at the top left of your phone. I know you can disable the "notification sound" when you receive a message, but that's it.
With the Yahoo Mail App, you can disable both the sound and the notification from appearing.
