xteneded battery went into kool down mode

Just bought a newlarger battery with a door so it could fit,I put it in and it went into cool down mode.Is that mean the battery was too hot,anyway I left it out for one hour and no change.I want a larger battery, besides Verizions OEM is there any other brand I could use.I had todo a hard reset on my phone to bring it out ,any suggestions.

No i bought a cheap one,i can't get it to work anyway,you get what you pay for i guess.will the motorola battery get me thru the day.
