Sure, I recommend it to anyone! I think the Droid gives you the option of being a basic user (maybe with a nudge), or, you can do all kinds of fun things with it. Probably much more fun for those more for those living on the fringe and are not afraid of bricking a $200 smartphone 
With that said, I sure have enjoyed mine and tinkering with it! I get a real kick out of reading the threads and how anxious folks are for the next cool thing.
