mjs27541 said:Just ran it on mine it took 155 ms. I'm OC'd to 1.3 ghz on 905. Sound like a decent score? Figured I'd ask since you appear to be the master of pushing this phone to the limit.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi...
I couldn't afford a Commodore 64 back then, so I had to settle for the Vic 20.:smile-b:
sargentmajord said:Yes u will know if u oc to high the soft touch buttons will vibrate erratically an u will immediately get a long bench of 500+ms an yes 155 ms sounds perfect

mjs27541 said:Awesome thanks. I was happy with 1.2 ghz until I saw you went to 1.6. 1.3 is stable for me so far, if it stays that way may bump it again.

I have disabled most of the bloatware you recommended, except Text Messaging and Voicemail, which I use. I have Smart Actions set to turn off WiFi, GPS, cellular data, and background sync when the screen is off. My battery is down to 20% in a little under 7 hours. With 246/247, I jumped from 1.0 GHz to 1.2 GHz max, and I now have virtually continuous 4G. These improvements are much appreciated, but could they have cut my battery life nearly in half? Is factory resetting the only solution? View attachment 56697Those complaining about battery life should seriously consider factory resetting and disabling bloatware.
again, can we say "assembly language"? Sure you can!
mjs27541 said:That's sick. Have you played around with any of the other IO schedulers? I'm giving noop a whirl on mine.

For those wondering about my background...I started on a vic 20 when I was 7. My grandparents got a C64 to run their business so I got to use it when I was here (I bought their house a few years ago) on weekends. So I played on both of those Eventually got my own C64. Got into hacking copy protections (it was a hobby...wasn't pirating games, just wanted to learn how the encryption they used worked and how to defeat it). Moved up to an Amiga. And when I was in college I built my first 386-40 with WFW 3.11. I was one of the few who could multitask doom and still be online (bbs') at the same time.![]()
