Remember MODEMs. I was really kicking when I upgraded to 1200 baud. No internet (Al Gore hadn't invented yet). My kids complained when the cable modem was only doing 1 Mb.

I saw that. I thought I had a good connection with 20 down and 5 up. Crap I ran a whole company on 256 IDSL. That was an upgrade to the 96K baud modem.

I remember them too, but you couldn't use the with those newfangled square phone handsets.

I still remember my first Computer an old Packard Bell (from when they sold them in America) gold old Legend version. started out with a 486 clocked at about 50mhz, for it to 150 at one point added another 4 megs of ram (that was about 200) at the time.

Oh wait I still have it in the attic, maybe one of these days I will set it up and play with windows 3.1 (I never got 3.11)
