Will z4root work after 2.3.340 update?

I got z4root from the market when it was still available to root my 2.2. Should I not update to 2.3.340? What is the process to updating but keeping my root.

I figure i should "unroot" do the update then "root" again. But I am afraid that the z4root wont work after the update.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

You should unroot and then update and then reroot. This whil save you a huge hassle.
