WIFI "never" Sleep policy doesnt work

i cannot get the phone to stay connected to the wifi...it always disconnects when the phone goes to lock mode. i tried to change the sleep policy but that doesnt work either. it actually makes it worse. originally, when i had it on "when screen turns off", the phone would reconnect automatically when i turn on the screen.....when it switch the option to "never", the wifi will totally shut off. i cannot figure out this glitch....

anyone have this problem and know how i can fix it?

Got the same problem....

Yes, I have that problem since my droid x updated to 2.3.4. It's buggin the fire out of me! Any help would be great!
