Wifi and 3g

To get wifi I must turn off 3g data manually, and to get 3g I must reenable 3g and turn off wifi.
Pain.
Is there a tasked solution?
I didn't have to hit both switches on my Droid x, just turned off and on the wifi.

Umm...Power Widget, or other widget/shortcut?

Should only need to enable WiFi (which switch data mode), and disable when done.

Not sure what you mean by turn off 3g data manually.

Thank you, yes by "turn off 3g manually" I mean I go into "Battery and data manager" then go to "data delivery" then uncheck "Data enabled". Then my wireless will work.
In that screen, background data is also turned on, but data roaming is turned off"

Something is very wrong there... call customer support (you had a duplicate post for this, and I replied to that one)

Try Extended Controls widget in the Market it allows you to switch all kinds of functions. from WiFi on/off to a flash light button.
