Wifi stuck on "Turning off..."

I have wifi at home and my Droid switches to this when I enter. However, when I leave, the wifi icon is still on but cannot access any data. It doesn't switch to 3G. I have to manually turn off wifi. I get 3G data, but then wifi is stuck in "Turning off..." In the settings, the text is greyed out. I cannot turn it back on or break this without resetting the phone. It is mainly frustrating because if I leave my house and forget to check my phone, this behavior will drain the battery dead in a few hours. Any idease on fixes?

I had in the same situation and needed to shutdown and start my phone.
It worked out the issue.
However I would like to know if it is there any other way to solve the issue without rebooting my phone.:blink:
