WidgetLocker +*~+*~+*~+*~+*-- WOW!!!

I downloaded this app some time back, but refunded as the behavior wasn't very reliable. I decided to take the plunge and purchase it again knowing full well I couldn't refund it this time, and I'm not regretting it one bit. Very reliable now. Great job.

Yea same here. For me i almost got rid of it because it was buggie but it turned out to be just me lol. This app is very customizable and i didnt take the time to set it right. But after a little time with it i totally love this app

Kevin, I am having an issue with TeslaLED... When I tap the widget to turn on the LED light the light turns on, but then the phone reboots (the light stays on throughout the reboot) and then when I tap the widget to turn the light off it just reboots and wont turn the light off. I tried removing and re-adding the widget but that didnt help. I am using it on my WL screen, but i also tried it on the stock home screen and the same thing happened... any ideas?

Thanks

hmmm. idk. im not rooted so it cant be ROM related.

This is very weird. Android 2.1 I assume since you are not rooted. Does Droidlight work? On Droid/Android 2.1 we use the same method to turn on the LED.

I've not heard of this before, so I'm just guessing, but I think this issue is well beyond TeslaLED and you might need to wipe/reset your phone to resolve it. Or the Froyo OTA might resolve it (Or maybe it won't apply before a wipe). I also imagine you'll see random reboots in other situations too.

I havent had any issues with anything else causing reboots. I just removed the widget from WL and the stock Home and rebooted the phone. then readded the widget to WL and it seems to work fine... idk what the issue was :/ Thanks though

I have been having one problem for sometime now. Sometimes the hard keys which I have disabled in widgetlocker will wake my phone then the volume key will work. No idea but when it wakes it up it will stay on till I hit the lock button so sometimes I grab my phone from my pocket and the screen is on and the phone is hot.
anyone? kevin, any ideas?

Is it possible you have another app, like a music playing app, that could be doing this? I have found a bug that sometimes causes easywake to be active when it shouldn't (Fix in the next update, a day or two away), but the screen should still time out. And the phone shouldn't be hot as WidgetLocker wouldn't be doing anything.

i believe it gets hot cause the screen stays on. and i usually keep all apps closed via task tray

This app doesn't handle SMS popups from Handcent too well. That's my only real gripe about it.

If you mean the keyboard issue then Froyo fixes it, but in the mean time you can turn on Handcent's Auto-enable on-screen keyboard option.

I just released an update today that should fix a bug that was causing easy wake to happen when it should not. Hopefully that fixes your problem, if not let me know and I'll look into it further.

Kevin, I was happy to buy this app and have been recommending it all over.

Given your expertise in this area, I was wondering if you could possibly speak to the viability of an app or setting that would ‘lock’ the regular home screen and/or lock the widget locker screen and disable the click and drag to reorganize/add/remove items. My wife in particular has a problem where something she does has a tendency to move things around and confuses her. I’d like to be able to get it set up right and make is stay there, but allow some other action that would return it to normal function.

One other note regarding Widget Locker specifically…

The icon that locks/unlocks interactions doesn’t seem very intuitive to me. I can never remember if it should be green or gray. I wonder if an open vs closed padlock icon would be more intuitive?
