why does latitude sucks so bad?

It use to work pretty good. It helped me find my daughters phone after she lost it on a bike ride. Now it can't find anyone and even if show up 5-10 miles from my current location. All phones are updated to the latest map. Any ideas?

Bionic

Our are the same, on bionic and droid x. Used to work great, but after the update, shows my wife at home when she is at work 30 miles away. Then the rest of the day just says inactive, and won't even show up on the map.

You would think Google would check and make sure the updates actually work before sending them out....

Well I'm up for upgrade in July so I might root this one and play around a little then get the S3.
