Whats this....Froyo for the Fascinate is finally available....NO.....

This update is great and all, but, did anyone else notice that the GPS still doesn't work, or, is it just me?

Mine is still not working either. :angry: Also, I'm having a hard time finding my bookmarks for my internet favorites. I'll save it as a bookmark, but then I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Other than that, I'm liking it. The Swype is 10x better now.

My gps is working way better. It may be an issue with your phone. I would talk to VZW.

Slower quadrant

I just updated my fascinate to stock froyo, and ran quadrant I got a score of 995, but when I checked the system info for my device, it listed the processor as

CPU
Current freq.: 800MHz
Max freq.: 1000MHz
Min freq.: 100 MHz

Is this the same in Eclair, or did they underclock for battery life, and quadrant isn't pulling the full GHz?

Besides the score, quadrant seemed to run with nice speeds giving up to 60 fps on the 3d test

Since updating to Froyo my Fascinate chews through 10% of its battery every 20 minutes. Juiceplotter shows I only have about 3.5 hours of life on a full charge.
